review: the skinfood argan oil hair mask pack

Next i will be reviewing the skinfood argan silk hair mask. Actually this is quiet a popular product from skinfood. I ever tried the sample size one and i love it

Hair mask is different from conditioner since you need to let it sits on your head for about 5 minutes and it targets on giving noutishment on hair. You can also put iy on your scalp but you can't put conditioner on your scalp since we can never wash it thoroughly. And hair mask is also different from creambath. While creambath needs to be massage and leaves on for about 1 hour, hair mask only need five minutes to sit on your scalp.

Now about the product, The bottle is bigger than i thought. It contains 200ml of product. For the packaging, it is so skinfood. A little shabby and reminds me of old and dusty potion from a witch house hehe. But on the contrary, i love the packaging so much.

The smell is quiet heavy buttery scent. I don't really love the smell but that is the thing from skinfood, they always fail at product's scent. (they claim it to be natural, have you ever smell the black sesame mask? It was awful) hehehe

The product's consistency is yellow buttery cream and it doesn't leave that greasy conditioner feeling after being wash off.

It leaves my hair as smooth as silk and not weighing down.

It has the same problem as the innisfree, the scent doesn't linger for a long time. But it is such a nice hair product and i really recommend it for those who has rough, dry, and coarse hair (like mine) and cannot comb your hair smoothly until the very end.

I will not stop my hunting on hair product since i really need it and there are tons of product that i need to buy hehehe..

review: innisfree camellia essential shampoo

Today, i would like to share about my current favourite korean hair products. This is my first time reviewing hair product, other than cosmetics or face products. Actually, i had bought the products 3 weeks ago but i decided to do the review now because i just want to test the effectiveness of the products before doing the review.

The first one that i'm going to review is innisfree camellia essential shampoo. There are not much product's information that i can find either in the internet nor on the bottle itself. I simply bought this shampoo because it's innisfree hehe.

So before i continue i need to tell you the condition of my hair. I have dry hair and scalp. Sometimes it can get flaky and fall off like dandruff, but it is not dandruff since no anti dandruff shampoo that can cure it. (i have experience this since I was 7). Recently, i was going to cut my hair short. But the hair dresser always refuses to cut my hair because she said it's beautiful (lol) and there is no need for me to cut it short.

There are no local shampoos that give good result to my hair, and it was getting worse. It was so dry until i can't comb until the end of my hair and i hate it very much. I always tie a bun to hide the damaged hair and i tied it even when i sleep because i don't want to see how coarse and dry was my hair. It caused my hair to loss. And it kept loss until my hair got thinner.

One day, i came across an instagram page that sell many kinds of korean product and this innisfree shampoo was a new product in their shop. Without any hesitation i ordered it along with the skinfood argan silk hair mask.

The innisfree shampoo is housed in a very big red plastic bottle (300ml). With a simple minimalist design. The bottle cap is the click type one. I really like the design since it doesn't look cheap and the clean and minimalist design is really pretty. As the phrase says less is more.

The shampoo is liquid transparent gel (since it doesn't contain any coloring). The smell is a very refreshing citrus smell. I guess it's from the jeju orange peel.

When i checked the ingredients of shampoo, i can see that it contains low chemical substance and has more organic material in it than any other shampoo that i have ever tried.

For the result, i can feel my hair much more alive and without weighing down my hair. It gives my hair healthy glow and volume. So far, i quiet like it.

But it also has some drawbacks, the smell doesn't linger on my hair for a long time (while i really love the scent)

After a while, my hair tends to get used to it so the effectiveness isn't as good as the first time

In two days, i will feel my hair so weight and oily (i don't know why) and i need to clean it again.

Overall, it's a good shampoo but not good enough for me. (how do i find my true match shampoo, hello universe?)

review: skinfood rice mask wash off

Today, i will be reviewing my all time favourite, the skinfood rice mask wash off. Oh my God i love this product so much. Well, let me tell you why!

It leaves my skin incredibly heavenly smooth. Really! You should give it a try, and you will never regret it! (so much for the promotional word hehehe)

I already smeared this mask on every people's face in my house and they are all love it.

This mask is mainly made of rice bran water and rice scrub. Even though it is named as a mask, i will say it is a scrub mask. Since the rice seed works as a scrub but It is not as abbrasive as the black sugar mask

It contains less scrub than the black sugar one and it is much more mild and gentle. This is a perfect choice for those who feel the black sugar mask is too painful to use. (i did feel it once ago)

It stated on the container to massage the mask for about 10-15 minutes. It is quiet a long time to continuously massage my face hehe, so i set timer on my phone to remind me when i should stop massaging.

Skinfood recommends to wash off with lukewarm water, but i find lukewarm water is not always available anytime when i'm using it (lazyness and due to the fact of it is not very easy to make lukewarm water since i need to boil water and then mix it with cool water to adjust the temperature) so i use the usual tap water.

The effect is really wonderful. It makes my face looks brighter (but not as bright as when i take off the innisfree mask sheet), heavenly smoother and it cleanse my pore pretty well.

I could notice the sebum on my face decreases and the bumb around my nose and cheek caused by sebum and blackheads feel so smooth like i just step out from face clinic

I ask everyone in my house to try this mask (i love to share my korean things to my house mate! Lucky for you who live with me! Haha) and they love it as well.

But my household servant does say that this mask cause irritation on her face due to the excessive scrub movement (well she scrub her face as hard face as she scrub the clothes haha) so you just need to be careful not to scrub to hard because it can irritate your skin.

This lately, i became quiet addicted to skinfood and i'm planning to buy another skinfood product. If you have any skinfood productvthat you like please tell me since i really need your insights..

review: memebox x pony smoky eye makeup set

Hi all, it has been quite long since my last post. I got so busy this lately and i forgot to do my post. I bought few items in this week. But today i would like to do my review on my very first memebox.

If you have been following the korean makeup trends, you would be familiar with the word "memebox". It is an online shopping shop in canada like testerkorea or jolse but it sells only korean cosmetic and product. Its main target is to sell korean products to the american but it has shipped globally now.

I was interested in this memebox because it delivers a hand curated box with lots of korean product inside with different theme and the price is so cheap rather than buying the products separately.

And this few years they have collaborated with korean top beauty vloggers such as pony, so young, yeondokyung, and few others, to create their own cosmetic line. (i hope i can be one of them. Haha)

Memebox also produce their own makeup line which is called memebox xo. Even though the brand is memebox, you don't need to worry, for they produce such a high quality product with cheap price.

Now for the review, there are tons of other boxes in their website and i'm so confuse in selecting one of them.. One day i came across the mAkeup tutorial on youtube. It was about pony teaching how to achieve smoky eyes feat memebox. And when i checked on the website, they do sell the set. It is called pony x memebox smoky eye set. It consists of 6 different products. It has 2 eyeliners, 1 lipstick, 1 eyeshadow pallete with 8 colours, 1 face brightener + blush, 1 mascara and it is only around $40 or in indonesia Rp 750.000 since i bought it from online shop.

First, i will review the eyeliners. It has such a strange name, "i'm eyeliner" hehehe. It consists of 5 colours but i only got 2 which are the moonstone (brown) and night (black). It is a gel type pencil eyeliner. Don't be fooled by the brand's name for this is such a quality product. It is a waterproof, smudge proof and can stay for 24 hours. I never used it for 24 hours yet but i used it for More than 16 hours and it was still good without ceasing or smudging. It is a double ended type with the pencil on top and a sponge on the bottom. Memebox also provided the pencil sharpener in the middle. I'm in love with this product. The color is super pigmented and very easy to use even for beginner. One thing that is lack from this eyeliner is, it is hard to remove. You will need a waterproof makeup remover to remove it. I'm planning to buy all the shades since it is so cheap and effective.

Next, i'll be reviewing the mascara. It is called "i'm mascara" hehehe. The color is in jet black. Ok, i need to be honest with you, i rarely used mascara since i don't have one haha.. I bought so many products and i always forgot to put mascara in the list. But everytime i do my makeup, i always feel there is something missing and its a mascara. I was planning to buy innisfree skinny mascara but because i already ordered this box, i cancel the mascara since i will not be using 2 mascaras. It will just spend my money Hehe. The mascara it self is waterproof. The quality is average, nothing special. The lasting effect is the same as the eyeliner. I can't say i love this mascara or not since i Haven't tried lots of mascara yet.

The third review is about the lipstick. It is called "i'm lipstick" too. In shade pure pink beige. I never had any beige color lipstick but this is definitely worth to try. At first, this shade looks weird on bare face without makeup since it is a pale colour and doesn't really stand out. But once you applied makeup and put this on your lips, it will look so beautiful and natural. It has matte finish but doesn't dry on lips. It feels creamy and moist on lips but with matte finish (not the powdery matte feeling if you know what i mean). I really love this lipstick and i'm planning to buy the whole shades. For the lasting performance, i can say it lasts for 3 - 4 hours without eating

since it is a pale colour.

Next, the blush which is called, pony galaxy pink blush. This is not a part of memebox's cosmetic line but this belongs to the pony line along with the eyeshadow pallete. The blush has 4 blocks of color. The colors are mostly in pink shades. At first I thought it was not very pigmented because the color looked too sheer. But once i applied it, it looked so beautiful. Very natural and bright at once. It contains very small shimmer particle and this make my cheek glow. Unfortunately, pony only has one shade for this blush and they do not include any brush for applying it,  while in the box it stated that it has a brush included in the package.

Last but not the least, is the main star this set. The pony season 2 eyeshadow pallete. The box has the same design as the blush box. They have galaxy pattern with night black sky. Pony has created 3 seasons of eye pallete. The first on consists mainly with brown colour. The second one (the one that i have) has more variety of colors. It has purple, brown, nude, and pink shade. But this pallete doesn't has matte color. It's all about sparkle!

The colors are very pigmented and long lasting, even for the sheer colors. I think pony's collection is all about a good quality product with cheap price and i really recommend it fot anyone.

I'm kinda attracted to other memebox products and i'm planning to buy the other memebox collaboration boxes. Please let me know if you have any curiosity on those boxes. Thank you very much, see yaa

Review: etude house big eyes maker + cute eyes maker

Hi, today i'll review the well known Etude house Big eye maker and cute eye maker. I saw many online shops kind of confuse about this two products. They keep wrongly label it.

Etude house big eye maker is thinner and slightly shorter than the cute eye maker. They also have different purpose.

Etude house big eye maker is suppose to make our eyes look bigger while the cute eye maker is for making aegyo sal.

For you who haven't know, aegyo sal is a liitle cute bag on the under eye. Not many people have it naturally. I have a friend who has it and it makes her smile looks so cute. This aegyo sal is also called as the baby fat. If you happen to have a baby sister or cousin or son, you can notice they have a small fold under their eyes. And this is not an eye bag due to late night sleep.

I really interested in both products a long time ago but could not have it since i still have so many other things to buy hehehe

So, this is the review, i'm going to start with the cute eye maker first. It is a double ended stick. At first i thought i need to pull the cap, so i pulled it and guess what it fell off. Hehe. Actually it's a screw type of cap.

The applicator is a nice black sponge and the cream eyeshadow covered 3/4 of it. The applicator it self doesn't have any product, but the product is in the cap itself. I thought it's going to be powdery but it is actually a cream type product.

One end has the white shimmering shadow while the other has a brown less shimmering shadow.

The color is not really pay off and actually the applicator is too big so i tend to swipe too much of it.

I do not find this product very useful since the white color is very sheer and the brown color is just not enough brown. Many people said the holika holika under eye jeweled is so much better but i think i'll stop buying under eye product first hehehehe. I think it is better to have surgery hahaha.

Next, etude house big eye maker. This product suppose to make our eyes appear larger by giving shadow at the end corner of eyes and highlight on the under eye.

The tube is just a simple princessy pink color. With the cute writing and necklace pictures. I found the applicator is much better than the cute eye make since it is smaller and fit my eyes perfectly. The white shimmer works better on the under eye than the cute eye maker. But the brown shade is too dark for under eye.

I don't know i should love this product or not since i haven't mastered it yet. I've seen the review of these product from another blogger and it seems very good.

From both products my favourite will be the big eye maker since it can be used as eyeliner without looking too much. I also love the creamy formula of both products and they stay  for more than 8 hours.

Review: holika holika petit aqua jelly bb cream #natural beige

Today, the review will be on my current bb cream. The holika holika petite jelly aqua bb cream. Actually it is an old product and has been in the market for few years but I would like to give it a try since i've ever tried their finish bcream or something and it was really good.

The bottle design is pretty because it is made of glass and has a jelly shape. Unfortunately the lid is made of tin with built in spatula which feels a little bit cheap.

The spatula can't reach the bottom end of the bottle so you need to dig it with small spoon or fingers.

scent is flowery and smells nice to me. But for some people, they might find this scent too strong
The consistency is indeed jelly like. It's not creamy nor oily like most of the bb cream. It's very bouncy and doesn't drip.

Once you spread it on your face, you'll feel instant cold like cold water being spread on your face. I guess its the effect of mint water.

It dries up pretty fast, so you need to make sure that you blend it well before it sets. It glides on my face smoothly and i love it very much. Once it settled, you can press your face with your palm and feel its so cold.

The coverage is light to medium and leaves semi matte finish. It still leaves a bit glow, but not an oily glow, more like a shine deep from your own skin and it looks very natural.

The lasting hour is 5 - 6 hours. One thing that you need to be careful that it clings on your skin. So, make sure you cleanse your face well otherwise it will clog your pores.

One thing that lack from this product is the design. It is made from thick jelly shaped glass and you know what will happen if you accidently drop it! It will break. I know it can make the product looks more beautiful but still i anxious about dropping it. (you know morning time when everything is hustle bustle and you need to get ready as quick as possible).

But overall, i'll give this bb cream 4 points for the formula and the performance. It only lacks in the design and the semi matte finish since i opt for a dewy finisb but actually it's not even a minor since the problem is i didn't expect it to be matte. He he

I recommend this for people who has oily skin, or to those who want matte finish bb cream and feels sick of oily bb cream.he he. And for those who are searching an everyday bb cream, this is worth to try.

Review: Etude House sunprise essence concealer #light beige

Today, my review will be on concealer. I rarely use concealer and i don't know how to use it properly until i watched some makeup tutorial on you tube. I noticed in every tutorial, they'll include concealer in the base makeup.

Concealer suppose to conceal our dark circle undereye and some spots or flaws. I never took much time in considering it until i notice, i have dark circle!!

Due to the lack of sleep i have developed dark circle and it makes me look exhausted and old.. My mom even said i look old due to the hard work. Really? Hehe.. I think everyone needs to hard work while they are young, am i right?

Back to the product, it came without a box, just a simple slim bottle with sticker of sunprise essence concealer writtings in pink.

One thing that makes this concealer special is the applicator. It has 2 shapes in one wand. The circle and the cylinder. The circle is for applying concealer on under eye and tricky places while the cylinder is for applying on wide side like cheek and temple.

Now, for the performance, like i said before, i've never really into concealer but this one surely did her job well. It covers my blemishes perfectly and the uneven part of my face like the dark cicle and around the corner of my lips.

Now i've been using in my daily makeup since it creates a perfectly flawless skin without looking too much. I love it very much. For the application, i will dot it around the desired area and just tap it with makeup sponge. It's very easy.

A tip for you girls, in term of searching the right concealer, choose the one that has a shade lighter one tone than your own skin, since it can brighten your whole look and act as a highlighter as well.. He he.. Combo

I really recommend this product for those who are looking for a good concealer but still on budget because its very cheap and effective.
