REVIEW : ETUDE HOUSE FANTASTIC COLOR EYES #CHERRY BLOSSOM

Hi all.. few days ago I have promised a post about the limited edition fantastic color eyes palette from etude house. So here it is!

Actually I have gotten this palette a week ago but I can only make a post on Saturday so yeahh..

I bought this palette from @etude recipe for Rp215.000. it came so fast. I ordered it on Monday and on Saturday, the palette already arrived. I really recommend you to shop in here because it has a very fast po and also free sample in every purchase.

So, get back to the palette. When I receive the palette first thing that came to my mine, oh my god the box is just so pretty. Even the carton box is decorated with sakura (cherry blossom) flower. It’s a new spring edition palette and everything is so springy. The box itself is made of hard plastic with built-in mirror and sponge application. I really like the built in mirror since I can use it for traveling either. The sponge application is very nice. Usually if I buy an eye shadow with the application inside, the application is usually made from rough sponge (if you ever purchased Maybelline eye shadow, you know what I mean) but this one came with white latex sponge and feels so soft on my eyes.

The colors are all nice. It has six colors in each palette. Mine are cherry coke, cherry march, baby peony, hello spring, floral walk and warm morning.

The cherry coke color is deep cappuccino brown with no shimmer at all. It’s the darkest color in the palette.

The cherry march on the other hand is a bright fuchsia pink that looks very pretty.

The baby peony shade is a pale Barbie pink that looks very nice for everyday use.

The springy floral one is a white – pink glitter. I think this suppose to be wear under eye rather than on top.

But if you see my swatches, I think this shade can also be applied in the centre of eye makeup to make a 3 dimensional eyes.

The floral walk is a brown with pink undertone. It has pink shimmers and it’s very pretty to be used for daily makeup

While the last one, warm morning is a lighter brown also with pink undertone. It has less shimmer than floral walk.

REVIEW  : NATURE REPUBLIC BY FLOWER BRUSH LINER

I never wear eyeliner for daily makeup because it doesn’t look natural enough since I only have black liquid eyeliner. I do have brown eyeliner but it is agel type from Maybelline and it tends to smudge away and some of my students keep complaining that my eye makeup looks horrific since it smudge everywhere so I never use eyeliner again sadly.

I remembered that etude house has a brown eyeliner from the wonder drawing line but it is quite expensive so I opt for the oh my line liners but from my previous experience of this eyeliner, I don’t really like it since it can clump and not so long lasting.

 So, in the morning I just lazily check what nature republic products that my seller sell. I interested in some product but because I’m on tight budget I just skipped it and skipped it until I found an eyeliner. It has 2 shades, brown and black. And guess what the price is quiet cheap! It’s only Rp 75.000. I decided to give it a try.

It came together with my peripera tint. So, first impression, the packaging is so simple. No box at all. The whole body is white with a little brown on the bottom. The design is very clean and shopisticated almost like the innisfree one. Actually I was so thankful because it’s a brush not a marker, I don’t really like markey type eyeliner since it has pointed end and my eyes feel ached everytime I used the marker type.

When I open the cap, I thought the brush looks celan and there was no button to press the ink out or yeahh you know.. and I thought how can the content came out, and I tried to draw a line on my hand. It doesn’t take even 2 seconds for it to completely dry. When I rub it, it doesn’t smudge or smear at all. It’s a good thing since I don’t like my eyeliner smudging all over my eyes.

The next day I tried to use it on my eyes. Because my eyes tends to get oily, since I use bb cream all over my face and I seldom apply any loose powder on it. It tends to get oily around the eyes, so I put a little bit of loose powder on my eyes to keep it from smudging. It glides on eyes very smoothly and it is very easy to use. Like drawing using a pen. And you can never go wrong with brown color.

I used it around 9 am and when I checked it on 9 pm. It was still there. There were no sign of smudging at all. But when you wash it with water, it will disappear because it is not a waterproof type. It’s very good. I give a thumb up for this product! I really love it and I wear it everyday simply because it’s very natural. I really recommend it!

1.       Very cheap for a very good product

2.       Natural and pretty color

3.       Long lasting and non smudging

1.       Not waterproof

REVIEW : PERIPERA WATER TINT #MANDARIN JUICE

I’m running out stock of tint. And I’m really interested to try other brands apart from etude house. So when I

saw someone tag this picture on my face book wall, I was interested to see the mandarin shade. As you can see in the picture the two new colors are mandarin juice and candy juice.

I’m an orange color lover and I chose the mandarin shade. It is not so expensive considering the big bottle it has. I bought it for Rp 99.000 at pluvia pluvia on face book. You can check her face book page since she sell so many kinds of Korean products and the owner is so nice.

So the first impression is the bottle looks like a regular nail polish. It is round shape and made of thick glass. The inside is indeed like a syrup and I thought this gonna last quiet long since we only use a little drop of tint each time.

I apply it on my lips before scrub and not with a nice stroke also but the color is just so pretty. It looks the same as the advertisement. A very vivid bright orange. It is definitely wearable. But after a while, just like another tint, it will leave dry patches on my lip. So I thought I’m going to scrub my lip first.

After took a shower, I scrubbed my lips and applied a concealer on my lips before applying the tint. I tried to apply it evenly and the color was really great. And one thing that I like, the smell is so good. It smells like a fresh mandarin juice and I really want to lick my lips for that but unfortunately it tastes bitter. Just like another tint once you applied it and settled it for a while, it will create a strange sensation like it penetrates deep into your lips to create the stains. So for the people who never try tint before, don’t worry, it will not cause your lips any damage, it is just how a tint works. It does feel bitter when you apply it but once it dries you can’t feel the bitter taste anymore.        

I want to buy other shades like candy juice, cherry juice and pink juice. It is just so pretty. I really recommend you to try this tint.

REVIEW : ETUDE HOUSE TEAR DROP EYE LINE #WHITE TEAR

This is a product that I’m craving for but never had a chance to purchase it. Why? Because I always forget to put it in the shopping list and I’ll just remember it after I purchase the shopping. This happens everytime. The same thing happens with etude 101 pencil. I haven’t try any of it simply because I forget about it.

So, at last, I purchase this along with my cookie blusher from @uneeetude. The price is Rp70.000.i chose the white shade because I don’t have any idea which color to buy. It all looks just the same.

 The bottle is just the same as etude house oh my liner. But the content is so shimmery like a precious elixir. Haha. If harry potter needs a new elixir this can suit the purpose.

Because I’m really interested in this product, this is the first product I tried after the package arrived. It contains small glitter and it brightens my whole eyes. But, it is definitely not suitable for daily makeup. The glitters even though it is small, still so pop out.  Kind of make my lower eyelashes sparkle with glitter and it such not a delicate look for a teacher like me.

But when I use it with full eye makeup, it looks so pretty and I just want to stare at it all the time. People keep asking me what do I use to make my eyes glitter like that. One thing that I need to remind you is that you may not use it on full length of your lower eye lash. Just use it on the corner of you eyes to make the eyes look brighten. if you use it on the full length, it will look strange and definitely not pretty.

REVIEW : ETUDE HOUSE LOVELY COOKIE COLOUR BLUSHER #2 STRAWBERRY CHOUX

Next, my review is about lovely cookie blusher from etude house. Actually I already have 2 shades of blusher, they are from oriflamme products. But I don’t really like it. Sometimes when I want to make baby face makeup I need a powder blusher that doesn’t contain any shimmering because it will just ruin the whole concept. And besides, the products that I have were already 4 years and it’s time for me to buy the new one.

I interested in this product because it doesn’t have any shimmer, and also because the design of the product. I ordered it in @uneeetude. It’s so cheap. Only Rp 70.000. It came so fast since it is a ready stock product. And I’m so happy when I saw the packaging. Its round and made of plastic but the puff is very cute and soft. Like a baby powder puff if you know what I mean. But unfortunately the handle of the puff is just a one pink ribbon and it’s not very convenient to hold on. So I just grab the whole puff and puff puff on my cheek haha..

The color is just so pretty. A very baby pink and will make you look so innocence. But you can only use this type of blusher with matte makeup. I tried to use it with glowing makeup and it just so wrong.. it looks flat on the apple of my cheek where it suppose to glow. I know it is my mistake so I warn you first.. haha.. I would like to purchase the orange and lavender color maybe in next month.

So overall the blush is nice, cheap and pretty. (Isn’t that all we want) I would like to try missha fluid sheer blusher and nature republic blusher so if you girls have any experience with the two type of products mention before please let me know.. Thank you.

REVIEW : ETUDE HOUSE GIVE ME CHOCOLATE SHADOW #CHERRY TRUFFLE

I bought this product because last November I didn’t get a chance to purchase Etude House fantastic color Halloween edition. Because at first I didn’t like eye shadow product since I can’t used it daily, I’m working as a teacher and I can’t wear full makeup every day. And there came a day when I also a little bit addicted with Korean makeup tutorial in you tube and it shows so many tutorials using a simple eyeshadow and at once I began to have interest in applying eyeshadow.

So, when I saw the promotion of etude house new limited edition eyeshadow, I can’t sleep but keep thinking about it. And at last I ordered it from one of my favourite online shop in Indonesia. It arrived pretty fast.

First impression is the box not as big as I thought. I already know that it will come in small size but I can’t help but thinking why can’t it be a little bit bigger. But then I remembered this is an eyeshadow no a blush so the size won’t be as big as I thought. But truly it is bigger than any etude house eyeshadow and it will last so long.

On of the reason I bought this eyeshodow was due to its box. It’s so pretty and I don’t want to throw away the box. I’m not a chocoholic but still I do love the design of the box. The writing behind the box is just captivating.

So, for the product itself, the chocolate part is not truly matte, it contains a little bit shimmer but still wearable everyday. And for the pink side or more like coral shade it also not matte but a little bit shimmery. I don’t want to ruin the chocolate design so I just brush the shadow using my finger.

The result is just the same as the promotions and very wearable. The colors are not very pigmented. You need to apply it again and again until you got the desire colors but it last pretty long. It doesn’t smudge and turn oily (like my oriflamme it just disappeared after 1 hour, can you imagine that!)

And it’s such a pretty color too. I wanted to buy the rest of the shade but tadaaa.. there came a promotion about etude new spring pallete.. and I already ordered it so just stay tuned to see the review..

Review : ETUDE HOUSE FACE BLUR

SO, at last.. my long awaited beauty product. ETUDE HOUSE BEAUTY SHOT FACE BLUR. From the advertisement, it claims that it can make our faces looks photoshoped. Like everything has been blurred out. I don’t know how to do that. And frankly I said, I’ve never done any photoshop on my pictures because I just don’t know how to do it.

Like I said in my previous post, I don’t have a meaningful problem on my face except for the dryness. So I hope that this product truly can make me achieve that flawless look.

The box came a little bit broken. (not the bottle only the outside box) perhaps due to the packaging. I really like to collect boxes from Korean things that I bought. (I am such a hoarder, but it just so irresistible, the packaging are all so cute )

On the right side of the box, it is written “beauty shot face blur, SPF 15+” it means that it can only block the UV A not the UV B. I’m not used to see Korean product with only SPF 15. It usually has SPF more than 20. But hey, we suppose to layer this product with bb cream or cc cream so it’s forgivable.

Next, on the box also written (this light weight cream provides multi – blurring effects for instantly refined and smooth skin. Skin’s texture is smoothed; pores minimized and complexion brightened. The other description is in hangul, and I haven’t mastered hangul yet so I don’t dare to translate it for you. >_<

The bottle is quite big. It contains 35ml of product. So first impression, it is a creamy texture, and glides on smoothly. But the first thing that I don’t like from this product is the smell. It’s awful. Very artificial. I wish they didn’t make the smell this awful. But it’s okay once I spread it on my face the smell faded away.

The consistency is like a cream, the colour is white but when I applied it, it turned transparent like a gel that wrapped my face. It does brighten my skin tone. But if you saw the advertisement about this product is all you need when you are in rush or when you’re boyfriend visit you suddenly, I think it is not true because it didn’t have any significant result on my face.

But, if you apply bb cream (mine is blooming fit type) it creates such a wonderful glow. And it does look photoshoped. I’m so happy. After I used it, I went to my local department store, and guess what! People were staring at me. (It’s true) I do not exaggerate this matter, but people in there were staring at me, there were 2 boys looking at my face and kind of acting awkwardly.

I tried to layer it with only cc cream silky, but it doesn’t give the same result as the bb cream. So I do not recommend you to layer it with any other than cc cream. I haven’t tried it with other brands of bb cream but I guess the result won’t be as nice as when you layer etude bb cream.

This product truly becomes my recommendation for my reader because it smoothen my pores. (Not completely but once I layered it, it does less visible). It gives my face a nice glow. And it becomes my new Holy Grail product. I love it so much despite the smell and I certainly will buy it again.

Pro : 1. Effectively blur pores and flaw

                2. last pretty long, I used it for half day and it doesn’t fade away

                3. pretty cheap price (compare with benefit porefessional)

Con : 1. I wish the bottle could be bigger

                2. the smell! But it doesn’t really bother me actually so I forgive this

REVIEW : ETUDE HOUSE PURE BAOBAB MOISTURIZER

I’ve been looking for new moisturizer these days. I’m eyeing for laneige water bank but the price is quite expensive, so I’ll guess I just need to postpone it first. I interested in moistfull series of etude house but since I don’t really like the fragrant of collagen moisture I don’t want to buy it.. but really collagen moistfull cream has such an incredible texture.. (I’m very sensitive about fragrant).

 So, I suddenly reminded of etude house another moisturizer line called pure baobab series. I checked it in etude.co.kr. it gives only a little description of the product in English but it did say containing baobab water that can moisturize my face well. This line has 3 types of product. The toner, moisturizer, and the cream. I checked the products availability in @littlekoreancorner, and guess what! The price is reasonable enough.

So it left me with the choice wether I want to buy the toner, the moisturizer or the cream. I’m not a big fan of thick cream which leaves me with sticky feeling. I’m looking for something like laneige water bank texture, but it does hard to find in quite cheap price products. I don’t want to buy toner yet because I usually use my face mist instead of toner. So I choose the moisturizer one.

It came pretty fast along with my cc cream. You can checked the etude cc cream review in previous post. As I guess, the bottle is big. I think I can use it for a very long time. It contains 180 ml of product which is so much for me. Consider I’ll only use a pinch of it every day.

The bottle is opaque pink. One thing special is the lid, which has the same curve line as the wish lips talk products. It’s very girly, and surely it’s a good bottle to decorate my dressing table. The liquid inside is pale pink which is very pretty. But unfortunately it comes ith this big hole where we suppose to pour the liquid into our hands. The hole is quite big, so at the first time I poured out too many but I quickly put it back again through the hole.

It doesn’t have any smell. Truly! No fragrant at all. And it does moisturize my face well. It has milky texture but it absorbs well into my skin. Usually I use it all over my face and I’ll let it sits for 1 minutes while I prepare my other makeup. It leaves me a silky feeling as the box stated (like a burst of water drop, its light texture absorbs smoothly into the skin with abundant moisture.)

The emulsion itself contains 54% baobab water and moringa seed extract. It claims that it is a highly moisturizing emulsion that daily absorbs baobab’s pure moisture into skin for a clear and moist complexion.

So, at the end, i think this is a good daily moisturizer. I’ll consider to purchase it again.

REVIEW: ETUDE HOUSE CC CREAM #SILKY

This cc cream has been my like and dislike for many times. I’ve only tried the sample one but that time I used the glow version.. at first it was good but you know, in term of putting makeup I like to put many layers from many different brands at once.. So when I top it with this cc cream glow, guess what.. the color was darker than my other layer.. So since then I’ve never tried any etude cc cream again, until few weeks ago I ordered products from one of my favorite online etude seller @etude recipe, she gave me a sample of etude cc cream but this time it was the silky one..

 I really love how natural does it look on my face.. You can’t barely tell that I’m wearing makeup at all because it blends so well and the color is lighter than the glow version.. so, after thinking for two days I decided to buy it.. I ordered it from @little Korean corner..

It arrived quite fast which I am so happy about.. Actually the size is quite small.. Not as I expected and I told my sister not to use it in case it runs out very quick hahahaha.. It comes in a long quite big box but when you take out the real bottle, the container is actually quite small.. But I still don’t know how long will it last.. Usually my bb cream will last for more than 6 months with continuous use.

At the front box it says *anti aging and stress relief *hydration and whitening *sun protection and tone up *smooth texture and luminosity, it also has spf 30.. at the left side of the box it states (this multitasking 8 in 1 formula hydrates, primes, conceals, treats and protects skin at an easy single step for healthier complexion inside and outside)

So when I tried it, it does brighten my skin and luminosity as it claims.. The light reflector is no too much and looks very natural on my skin.. It feels as if we wear nothing on our face but it improves our overall tone..

It does hydrate my skin and of course it is buildable, so if you need more coverage don’t worry to put 1 or 2 more layer on it and it doesn’t look cakey.. I’m in love with this cc cream and I’ve been wearing it every day and everywhere now.. It has been my new holy grail.. hahaha.. It doesn’t coverage much if you only apply one layer, but if I put on foundation first and I apply 2 layers of this cc cream I will get a very bright and luminous skin which looks so great like no makeup-makeup look..

It makes my skin soft and smooth and also it doesn’t have any strong fragrance like etude bb cream

.. And one more it cares for my skin.. The difference between cc and bb is that the cc cream focuses more on skincare so yeah it’s a definitely yes.. You can relied on this cc cream to create you everyday look and I really recommend you to try it..

Pros : 1. Brightened my overall skin

                2. Has skincare agent in it

                3. Very natural look

                4. Doesn’t have any strong smell

Cons :    1. Comes in a quite small container.. (but it’s okay I’ll surely purchase it again because I’m in ove with this product)
